Hi @Bunty15,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your photos are printing with a pink tint after changing the black ink cartridge, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the new black ink cartridge is properly installed and has sufficient ink. Check the ink levels through the printer software or the printer control panel.
- Verify Cartridge Installation: Make sure the black ink cartridge is securely and correctly installed. Remove the cartridge and reinsert it, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Perform a Print Head Alignment: Many printers have a print head alignment function that ensures the print heads are properly aligned. Check your printer manual for instructions on how to perform a print head alignment.
- Calibrate the Printer: Some printers have a calibration or color adjustment feature. Use the printer software to calibrate the printer to ensure accurate color reproduction.
- Check Printer Settings: Make sure your printer settings are configured correctly for photo printing. Ensure that the color settings match the type of paper you're using and the print quality is set to the appropriate level.
- Update Printer Drivers: Check for and install any available updates for your printer drivers. Updated drivers may include improvements that address printing issues.
- Use Genuine Ink Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine and compatible ink cartridges for your printer model. Using third-party or refilled cartridges may result in color inconsistencies.
- Perform a Deep Cleaning: In addition to regular cleaning, some printers offer a deep cleaning option. This can help clear any stubborn clogs in the print heads. Check your printer manual for instructions on how to perform a deep cleaning.
- Test with Another Photo: Try printing a different photo to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to the photo or a more general printing issue.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the pink tint issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7134 printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Firstly many apologies for late reply and many thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately I was unable to rectify the issue until I was asked to replace the tricolour ink ( I subscribe to instant ink) Once the new ink was inserted the photographs now print the correct colours and stripe free. Many thanks for your help
