Hi @ABUANA,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your printer is not printing after replacing the black ink cartridge. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Check Cartridge Installation
Ensure the black ink cartridge is properly seated in its slot.
Remove and reinstall the cartridge to confirm it clicks into place.
Check Protective Tape
Verify that any protective tape or plastic cover on the new cartridge has been removed.
Run Printhead Cleaning
Use the printer menu or HP Smart App to run the Printhead Cleaning utility.
After cleaning, print a test page to see if black ink flows properly.
Check Ink Levels
Open the printer software or HP Smart App to ensure the black ink cartridge is recognized and has sufficient ink.
Check for Blockages
Inspect the cartridge and printhead for dried ink or debris that might be blocking the flow.
Try Another Cartridge
If the problem persists, the cartridge may be defective. Replace it with another OEM cartridge to test.
Restart Printer
Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
I hope this helps.
