Hi @Farrell1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 5255 All-In-One Printer is printing blank pages even though you've recently changed the ink cartridges and the printer indicates that you have sufficient ink, there are several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Check for Protective Tape: Ensure that you have removed any protective tape or packaging from the new ink cartridges. Sometimes, these tapes can block the ink flow.
  • Run Print Head Cleaning: The print head may be clogged, preventing ink from reaching the paper. Most printers, including the HP OfficeJet series, have a built-in print head cleaning function. Refer to your printer's manual or settings menu to find and run the print head cleaning utility.
  • Check Ink Levels and Settings: Verify that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and that they are not empty. You can check the ink levels through the printer software on your computer. Also, make sure that the print settings are configured correctly.
  • Align the Print Heads: Some printers have an option to align the print heads. This can help ensure that the ink is distributed properly on the page. Check your printer's manual or settings menu for the alignment option.
  • Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to ensure that you have the latest drivers for your printer. You may need to uninstall the existing drivers and reinstall the updated ones.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in, turn it on, and try printing again. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can address various issues, including printing problems.
  • Inspect for Mechanical Issues: Check for any paper jams, obstructions, or other mechanical issues that may be preventing the proper movement of the print head or paper.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
