Hello,
I got a used printer; Officejet Pro 6970, hooked it up and everything is working except every time I try to print it only gives me a blank page. What is wrong, I can't figure it out, and my warranty has run out!
I am NOT technical at ALL!!!
I appreciate anyone help, thank you 🙂

Hi @kimifa74,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your printer. There could be several reasons why you're getting blank pages. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to try and identify the issue.
- Check Ink Levels: Make sure that your ink cartridges have enough ink. If they are low or empty, replace them with new cartridges.
- Print a Test Page: Most printers have a built-in test page option. You can usually find this in the printer settings. Printing a test page can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the computer.
- Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your printer installed. You can usually find these on the HP website.
- Clean Printheads: If the printer hasn't been used for a while, the printheads may be clogged. Many printers have a utility for cleaning printheads in their settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions.
- Check Paper and Settings: Make sure you're using the correct type and size of paper, and check that the printer settings match the paper you're using.
- Inspect for Physical Issues: Check for any visible issues like paper jams, loose cables, or debris inside the printer.
- Try a Different Document: Print a different document or image to see if the issue persists. It could be related to the specific file or document you're trying to print.
- Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve communication issues between the printer and the computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
