Microsoft Windows 11

I raised service request for printer cartridge problem. HP customer care rejected saying due to DELHI WEATHER ADN ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS the printer cartridge might have got damaged and its not covered under warranty and when raised further they now came with 2nd excuse saying cartridge might have damaged due to shifting, again denied service. And atop of it, mr Bhavya of siliconcomnet verbally abused me rejecting my claim for warranty and he challenged how i ll get my printer repaired free of cost .

Ultimately HP customer care targetting money for service

Hi @RajeshKM,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I am sorry for the inconvenience

I understand your HP Smart Tank 675 All-in-One printer is displaying a cartridge error and blinking lights, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check the Cartridges

  • Ensure Proper Seating: Open the ink cartridge access door and make sure the cartridges are seated correctly in their slots.
  • Remove and Reinstall Cartridges: Remove each cartridge, inspect it for any damage or debris, and carefully reinstall it. Ensure it clicks into place properly.

2. Clean the Contacts

  • Power Off the Printer: Unplug the printer before cleaning.
  • Clean Cartridge Contacts: Using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water, gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.
  • Clean Printer Contacts: Gently clean the corresponding contacts inside the printer. Let everything dry for a few minutes before reinserting the cartridges.

3. Update Firmware and Drivers Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Go to the HP Support website and ensure that your printer’s firmware and drivers are up to date.
  • Download the latest firmware and drivers compatible with Windows 11.

4. Reset the Printer

  • Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

5. Check for Software or Connection Issues

  • HP Smart App: Use the HP Smart app to check for cartridge issues or firmware updates.
  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network.

6. Use Genuine HP Cartridges

  • Verify Cartridge Authenticity: Ensure that the cartridges you are using are genuine HP cartridges. Non-HP or refilled cartridges might cause compatibility issues.

7. Perform a Printer Reset

  • Press and hold the Power button and the Cancel button at the same time for about 15 seconds. This will reset the printer and may clear the error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
