I have a HP Office Jet Pro 9025e and it keeps generating the same error message.

"There is a problems with the supply system. Try replacing the affected cartridge with a different, non empty cartridge. If message reappears again, record message and contact support."

Hi @Chelsea76

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e is experiencing a persistent supply system error, which can be frustrating. This issue is often related to ink cartridge recognition, printhead problems, or firmware glitches.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check Cartridge Installation

  • Remove the affected cartridge and reinsert it firmly.
  • Ensure it clicks into place properly.

2. Clean Cartridge Contacts

  • Power off the printer.
  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the metal contacts with a lint-free cloth using distilled water. (Tap water is distilled water is not available)
  • Let them dry completely before reinserting.

3. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from power.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  • HP has a troubleshooting page for supply system errors here.
  • Updating firmware may resolve ink recognition issues.

5. Inspect the Printhead

  • If the issue persists, the printhead may need reseating or replacement.

6. Try a Different Cartridge

  • If possible, test with a new HP cartridge to rule out a faulty one.

Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!
