HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw

While trying to install toner refill, 143A, to my printer, the cartridge will not rotate 180 degrees.

The instructions at the link don't quite address my problem.  We have an HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw.  It looks as though the toner supply is at 50% (i.e., only the bottom half of the signal is white). so we're trying to add more toner.  But when I put in the toner refill cartridge, it won't rotate clockwise. 

 

   Also, the Toner Reload Indicator (the signal with three dots) blinks ORANGE (not white).  What does that mean?

 

Any advice or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
