I kindly need assistance to do regionalization reset, please advise. Thanks.

For your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw, a regionalization reset cannot be performed. Unlike some inkjet models, LaserJet printers do not support region reset functionality for toner cartridges. The region settings for toner are factory‑coded and tied to the printer at the time of manufacture.​

To help you further, we need to understand what specific error message you are seeing when trying to print or when installing your toner cartridges. For instance, common issues include:
 

  • “Incompatible Cartridge” or “Used Cartridge Error”
  • “Cartridge Protected” or “Cartridge Missing/Not Detected”

These messages may indicate a regional mismatch between the printer and toner or another compatibility or firmware‑related issue.

Thanks for your reply. When installing your toner cartridges the panel display "Incompatible supplies" and printer error log contains "Cartridge region is incorrect for printer."
