Hi, recently I have acquired an HP printer (Envy 5055) from my uncle. I tried to install new cartridges with new HP 65 ink. After I installed both of them, it is displaying ‘Use SETUP cartridges’ and won’t print. When I received the printer, it didn't come with the Setup cartridges, and need help bypassing it. I currently have 2 new cartridges installed. Can you help please?

Welcome to HP Support Community.

 

 Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. I understand you do not have the setup ink cartridges. To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

 

I request you to follow the steps mentioned below.

 

1)On the control panel please touch the Home icon.

 

2)Once done please press Back twice, and then press Home.

 

This should do the OOBE reset for the printer.
