It seems impossible to actually contact HP support directly so I'm trying here.

 

I have moved from Canada to the UK and need to reset the region of my printer to the UK so it will accept 301 ink cartridges as it's supposed to (originally 61 in Canada). When inserted I currently get the message:  "Incompatible cartridge(s) The indicated cartridges are not intended for us in this printer". I've seen other people with the same question so it seems a fairly simple fix, however it's completely impossible to contact anyone directly!

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'd like to help!

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hi, I have moved from the UK to Korea. My HP Envy 4500 doesn't work with the HP61 cartridges that are sold here for this type of printer (they were HP301 in the UK. I need to change the region on my printer. Can you send me the instructions please?
