I have an OfficeJet 6950 printer that I bought in Germany, which used 903 ink cartridges.  I have relocated to the U.S. and now need to reset the printer to use 902 ink cartridges.  How do I do that?

Hi,

You would need to contact HP Support in the US after having a full set of genuine HP 902 in cartridges available and the printer connected to a Windows PC or a Mac computer.

Even if the printer is out of warranty you are entitled to support on this matter due to the ink cartridges warranty.

Reaching HP Support via Facebook would be the easier way, be sure to clarify that you have moved with the printer and have the local ink cartridges available:

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Yes, we'll have to do a region reset.

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer. Also, let us know the Operating System installed on your PC.

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region to which you want to reset it to.

Please do let us know.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Have a great day!
