I purchased a genuine replacement HP 350XL cartidge from Amazon in May this year and have just tried to install it.  The cartridge is not recognised by the printer, but it does recognise the old 350 when I put that back in.  I have tried cleaning the contacts and all printer software is fully up todate.  I just need to get a replacement for this faulty cartridge which I can no longer return to Amazon and HP seem to make this process ridiculously complicated!  Please can someone get back to me so I can arrange this.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

Check if the plastic tape if any is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

 

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement option for the defective ink cartridge. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
