Superb description and stupendous diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that.  😊 

 

Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.

 

  1. Check the paper, print settings, and quality of the file being printed
  2. Check the toner levels and inspect the cartridges
  3. Replace any low or empty toner cartridges with new, genuine HP cartridges.
  4. Check print settings
  5. Print a cleaning page
