ENVY 6055

I am using a new Envy 6055.  We have used it for exactly one month and I've already run through two sets of ink.  This is ridiculous.  Because it is controlled by an app, I suspect HP "decides" when it's low on ink and when to start printing blank pages.  I tried switching from b&w to color (and that cartridge is definitely full) and still printing blanks.  This happened LAST WEEK and I replaced both cartridges.  Now it is happening again.  I honestly regret buying this printer.  There are no directions to anything, hard to find info online, either, even the power button doesn't work -- I have to unplug it to turn off and turn on again (when all else had failed).  Can anyone help?  At $30+ for the two cartridges, I can't afford this as a weekly expense.  One more cartridge purchase and I've nearly paid for a new printer!

And now the site is refusing to post this, saying I'm "post flooding."  Ridiculous.
