HP Officejet 4632 e-All-in-One Printer

I bought a new Number 61 HP Color ink cartridge for my  HP Officejet 4632 e-All-in-One Printer and my printer tells me the cartridge must be replaced. The printer works fine in black-only cartridge single mode. I tried the unplug the power cord fix and I still get the same error message. Gary

Hi@GPF49,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the .

I have a few recommendations

  • Check/Wipe Cartridge Contacts: A common cause of the “Cartridge Problem” message is the gold contacts found on an electronic chip on the body of the HP cartridge being obscured with dirt/ink or even physically having been damaged. Firstly remove the indicated cartridge from the printer and locate the chip.

From your HP Smart App:

  1. Open your app and go to 'printer status. '
  2. On the app, press the printer with the incompatible ink cartridge.
  3. Go to your printer and disconnect the printer from Wi-Fi.
  4. Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi-- this should help

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
