My brand new HP 62XL Black ink gave "cartridge error" when attempting to install it the other day. I followed instructions on cleaning contacts and resetting printer. Cartridge still produced error. I purchased a (another) new cartridge today which works fine. Therefore, I have concluded that the one I put in the other day is defective. I have search high and low on website and thru virtual assistant on "how to" request the HP Limited Warranty they claim they offer (expiration date on cartridge in question is 2022/03/06). I cannot find any way to access. This is completely unacceptable customer service. I purchased the cartridge in question in a 2-pack at Costco several months ago. Costco won't refund since I only have one cartridge left. Please advise on how to return cartridge and get a refund.

Curious is the cartridges are malaysian? I have similar issue - my singapore cartridge worked fine. ran out of ink. replaced with two NEW out of box cartridges - both produced the error message. Both are Malayian made.
Seems like a real quality problem
And you are right - support team seems content to just dead end calls. Offering no support or resolution

Yes, the cartridge with the issue was made in Malaysia...however, when I purchased it, I purchased a 2 pack - and the first one worked fine. I do not know, but assume, that first one was made in Malaysia as well. One I installed today (that worked) was also made in Malaysia.
