@Sajones27, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Ink Cartridge Compatibility and Replacement!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you have inserted a new ink cartridge and your printer is indicating it's not compatible, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Verify Compatibility:
- Ensure that the cartridge is the correct type and model number for your specific printer. The cartridge number can be found inside the cartridge access door or on the printer's packaging.
Correct Installation:
- Make sure the cartridge is correctly oriented with the arrow on the front of the cartridge facing upwards.
- Insert the print cartridges into the correct slots, matching the color and icon of each cartridge to those on the slot.
Replace the Cartridge:
- If the cartridge is incompatible or damaged, it must be replaced with a compatible one. You can order original HP supplies for the printer at HP Buy Supplies. If prompted, choose your country/region to find the right cartridges.
Troubleshooting Tips:
- If the message persists, try restarting the printer, ensuring all connections are secure, and checking for any obstructions or jams.
Ink Cartridge Warranty:
- HP's cartridge warranty covers the cartridge's application in the designated HP printer. It does not cover cartridges that have been refilled or tampered with.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
