I just purchased a new print cartridge, my HP Envoy 5530 printer sees this cartridge as a 'used' cartridge? When I put this cartridge in, I received the error this is a 'used' cartridge, it did the test, scanned the page but now if I shut the printer off, turn it on and try to print I get the error this is a 'used' cartridge, it should be brand new unless a store is recycling and selling as new but would think a $70 cartridge would be new. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

You are welcome.
If you are within an HP ship area, ink cartridges take little time to arrive.
Ordering directly from HP is one way to ensure your are getting a genuine product.
Let us know how it goes and whether the new HP ink helps resolve the problem.

It sounds like you are asking about the HP61 - Black / Tri-color combination pack.
No, HP Store does not recycle old ink and repackage as new.
So, assuming you purchased the ink from HP, something else is wrong.

It's HP61XL Cartridge that I purchased from Office Depot. The box looks to be an Office Depot Brand with the HP 61XL cartridge inside. The box says guaranteed, maybe I need to return it since this continues to give me an error. This is the closet store to me and the only ink cartridge they had in stock.

If it is in an Office Depot box it is likely a remanufactured product. All HP products come in their own packaging with a barcode that you can scan to verify the cartridge is original and not previously used.

Thank you, looks like I'll take this one back due to continuing to have errors each time I turn the printer on and will have to probably order online to get an actual HP print cartridge. I didn't stop to think of the ones being remanufactured causing this issue. I've purchased in the past with no issues which now explains why so many in my area have print cartridge issues!
