Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

I put a new black ink cartridge in my printer that I thought it was same as the old one.  The new one 950xl has Z10 designation which according to HP look up is correct for my region But the printer does not accept it and will not print. Should I just go to cost and buy new cartridge.   I think a friend gave the one I put i . It looks genuine
