I have put a new black ink cartridge ( sent by HP) into my printer. The new cartridge isn't giving out ink. The printer asked to do a quality and alignment page, but no black ink . Colour ,yes. I have tried cleaning the printer head via the program, nothing. Tried scanning what was printed out in colour, nothing printed at all. I put back the original ink cartridge back in, which had some ink left, everything printed as it should. Seems to be a fault with new cartridge. Can it be fixed or do i need to request a new cartridge ?

Hi @Desken,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing a print quality issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Does the copy print out the same way?
- What's the application you are trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
