Hi @cathiuska ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet 150 Mobile All-In-One printer is printing extremely light,
here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Step: Open the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app to check the ink levels. If they are low, replace the cartridges with new ones.
2. Print Head Cleaning
- Step: Access the printer’s maintenance or tools menu and select the option to clean the print heads. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cleaning process.
3. Print Quality Diagnostic
- Step: Run a print quality diagnostic test. This option is usually found in the printer’s maintenance menu. It will help you determine if the issue is with the print heads or cartridges.
4. Align Print Heads
- Step: After cleaning the print heads, align them using the printer’s alignment feature, usually found in the printer’s maintenance menu.
5. Check Paper Type and Quality
- Step: Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your print job. Using paper that is too thin or not designed for your printer can affect print quality.
6. Printer Settings
- Step: Check your printer settings in the HP Smart app or printer properties on your computer to make sure the print quality is set to the highest option.
7. Replace Ink Cartridges
- Step: If cleaning and aligning the print heads don’t work, consider replacing the ink cartridges. Sometimes cartridges can be defective even when new.
8. Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Step: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve various issues.
9. Restart Printer
- Step: Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
