Seen similar questions but not sure if same resolution for my model?
A few months back I bought a GENUINE black toner replacement as warnings low on existing toner. Happened to get a few more months out of it though.
Anyway, put new toner in and every sheet getting evenly placed black marks down right had side of any printout.
It looks like there is a blemish on the narrow black roller, at base of toner cartridge which lines up with where I am getting the mark on printouts.
I cannot see anywhere if these toner cartridges have a return policy, too long after buying from Amazon to return to them?
Is there a way to clean off this blemish safely without just making the area worse?
It appears to me at least the new cartridge as perfectly fine on original toner. I don't think it's any other part of the printer mechanics.
One assumes the roller has the ink transferred to it hence the question on cleaning and not making it worse.
Thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting print quality issues, I am glad to assist you.
Print a cleaning page
Cleaning the printing mechanism and printing path inside the printer might resolve issues like repeating dots, fuzzy print, or smeared toner.
- Print a cleaning page.
- On the printer control panel, press the Setup
button.
- Open Service, and then Cleaning Page.
- Load plain letter or A4 size paper when prompted, and then press the OK button.
- A Cleaning message displays on the printer control panel. Wait until the process is complete. Discard the page that prints.
Inspect the toner cartridge and imaging drum
- Examine the toner cartridge and imaging drum for damage.
- Remove the toner cartridge and imaging drum from the printer.
- Examine the memory chip for damage.
- If a memory chip is damaged, refer to the steps earlier in this document to replace the toner cartridge or skip to the step to replace the imaging drum.
- If you see any scratches, fingerprints, or other damage on the imaging drum, skip to the next step to replace the imaging drum.
- Reinstall the imaging drum and toner cartridge.
