HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

My Envy photo 7155 out of nowhere stopped printing cyan ink. I thought the cartridge ran out and I replaced it with HP ink and it did nothing.

Hi @AllysonT,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-In-One Printer has suddenly stopped printing cyan ink even after you replaced the cartridge with a new HP ink cartridge, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check Ink Levels: First, ensure that the new cyan ink cartridge is properly installed and that it has ink. You can check the ink levels through your printer's control panel or by using the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Clean the Printhead: Sometimes, the printhead may become clogged, preventing the ink from flowing properly. Most HP printers have a printhead cleaning utility in the printer's menu. Run a printhead cleaning cycle to see if it helps resolve the issue.
  • Align the Printhead: Proper printhead alignment is essential for accurate printing. Your printer may have an alignment function that you can run to ensure the printhead is aligned correctly.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware updates installed. Manufacturers often release updates that can resolve printing issues.
  • Check for Software or Driver Issues: Ensure that you have the correct printer drivers installed on your computer. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing problems. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Check for Compatibility: Make sure that the ink cartridge you purchased is compatible with your printer model. Using the wrong type of ink cartridge can lead to printing problems.
  • Perform a Manual Cleaning: If the issue persists, you can try manually cleaning the printhead. HP provides detailed instructions for manually cleaning the printhead in your printer's user manual or on their website. Be cautious when doing this to avoid damaging the printhead.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I have tried all of these and none have helped. All of the other colors are printing fine though.
