I purchased an hp ismart nktank printer 675.

Within 3 months the printer started giving inktank issue. The black cartridge tank won't empty while other three colour tanks get empty regularly.

The black cartridge works only in B&W mode, then its tank behaves normal.

Otherwise in colour mode only the colour cartridges work. The black colour on print is made from the three colour tanks only. Therefore, the image has a greenish tinge and  the black colour on image is not jet black as it should be.

I made complaint.

But to no avail.

The outsourced service centre in "surajpur, greater noida, U.P., India" sent an incompetent technician who could not resolve the issue.

I complained again.

Again he visited but to no avail

I registered complain third time.

On third visit the fraud technician made a report that I am using non hp ink that's why the warranty is over.

I emailed the ihp nk bottles I used.

But, no help.

As my work is suffering, I offered them to repair on chargeable basis.

But, that also is not working.

Without sending any engineer to find out the software issue that has occurred and without zeroing on the exact problem,, they are sending quotations so that I first pay then they will decide to look into it

It is a total fraud by hp.

I am telling everyone that aftersale services of hp are gutter and no one should purchase their products.

I have vouched never to buy hp product in life.

Meanwhile if anyone could tell me the exact problem I am facing.

That will be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hi @Ardiss,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m truly sorry for the experience you’ve had. This is not the kind of support we want you to go through. I understand how frustrating it is when a new printer starts having issues, the problem isn’t resolved after multiple visits, and then warranty decisions are made without proper clarity. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything in detail.

From what you’ve described.

  • Black tank not depleting unless printing in B&W,
  • Colour mode mixing colours to create black, and
  • Prints appearing greenish,

This typically points to a software/firmware or printhead configuration issue, not a hardware tank issue. It could also be a printhead alignment, firmware-level CMYK mapping error, or service-mode calibration failure. This should absolutely be diagnosed properly, not guessed.

Before going further, we really want to help you get this correctly escalated.

Could you please share the case number/complaint number you received for your previous service requests?

With the case number, we can trace the history, see what was reported, and ensure it gets routed to the correct HP support team for review.

A few clarifications (just to ensure accuracy):

  • Using non-HP ink does not instantly void warranty, and a technician must provide proper diagnostic evidence before marking a unit as CID (Customer-Induced Damage).
  • If you already provided images of the HP ink you used, this should be reviewed properly.
  • You should not be receiving a quotation without a correct technical diagnosis first.

Once you share the case/complaint number, we will try to find all possible help for you and ensure it gets escalated to the appropriate HP team for re-evaluation.

Again, sincere apologies for the inconvenience and the repeated visits without resolution. I’m here to assist you as much as possible.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
