HP OfficeJet Pro 9012 All-in-One Printer

I keep getting the error message that the printer isnt designed for continuous ink, but ive not put a continuous ink system in there. I have already tried wiping the chip, taking the cartridges out and back in, clearing the printing que, nothing has fixed it. Also, the printer i have registered is a 1090, not a 9012 as its showing on here.

I hate printers

How do i fix this? Or am I going to be never buying an HP product again?

Hi @DEATHTOPRINTERS,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are getting an error message "Printer isn't designed for continuous ink" on your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

We need to perform a Semi full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
