My OfficeJet Pro 8710 would not shut down. After unplugging it and plugging it in again, it's working but it's not printing correctly (full text of the doc doesn't show up, nor colors). Is it time to buy a new printer?

Hi @LO32,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you are facing a print quality issue
To assist better-
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -
load plain white paper in the input tray.
On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, touch the Setup icon , swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable to your printer - Print Quality Issues
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for your reply! Turns out that cleaning the print head via the Printer Maintenance option fixed the problem. I didn't even realize that such an option was available since I've never had to use it before. Unfortunately I had already ordered a new printer in the meantime, but my problem is now solved.
