HI @Reftech3716,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 8015e is not printing color pictures from your MacBook, and you suspect a driver issue. Let’s go through some steps to resolve this.

1. Check macOS Compatibility

Make sure your macOS version (26.0 Tahoe) is supported by the latest HP drivers.

HP Smart and the HP Printer Driver are usually compatible with the latest macOS releases, but older drivers may not support full color printing.

2. Remove Existing Printer

Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.

Select your HP OfficeJet 8015e and click Remove Printer.

This ensures any corrupted driver settings are cleared.

3. Install Latest HP Smart / Driver

Open the Mac App Store and download HP Smart.

Alternatively, go to the HP Support website and download the full-feature driver for macOS 26.0 Tahoe.

Follow the on-screen prompts to install.

4. Check Printer Settings

When printing a picture, go to File > Print.

Ensure Color (not Black & White/Grayscale) is selected under Printer Features or Media & Quality.

Make sure paper type and quality settings are correct for color photos.

5. Reset Printing System (if needed)

Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.

Right-click in the printer list and select Reset Printing System.

Re-add your printer using HP Smart or the driver you just installed.

6. Test Printing

Print a test photo from Photos or Preview.

If color still doesn’t print, try printing a diagnostic page from HP Smart to check if the issue is hardware or driver-related.

I hope this helps.
