Since changing the black ink cartridge the black ink is not printing correctly. It is faint or nothing there at all

and some sections are a faint blur. I have tried all cleaning options and nothing has helped.

Hi @Wendy286,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is not printing black ink, there are several possible reasons why this might be happening. Here are some steps you can take to try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check ink levels: Make sure that the black ink cartridge is not empty or low on ink. If it is, replace the cartridge with a new one.
  • Clean the printhead: Use the printer's built-in cleaning function to clean the printhead. This can help remove any clogs or blockages that may be preventing the ink from flowing properly.
  • Check the print settings: Make sure that the printer is not set to print in grayscale or draft mode, as these settings may not use the black ink cartridge.
  • Check the printer drivers: Make sure that the printer drivers are up to date and installed correctly. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Run a printer diagnostic: Use the printer's diagnostic tools to check for any hardware issues that may be causing the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
