Welcome to the HP Community --

One possible contributor --

At this writing, DeskJet printers require a larger margin along the bottom edge -- 12.7mm (1/2 inch)

DeskJet printers are not ideally suited to printing some files including Word or PDF label templates.

What?

The printer hardware requires a larger margin along the bottom edge of the paper --

If the margin on the bottom of the document is less than the minimum supported print margin (1/2 inch), the printed file might be cut off or suffer other alignment problems.

Borderless PrintingNo
Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

Next,

  • The Operating System / version generally dictates which applications / software are available.

Related...

  • Available apps and software (for the supported OS) might -- or might not -- provide a means of printing a PDF label file in actual size (100%).
  • "Fit"might work or might cause a misalignment of the individual label text.

What else?

Paper might be too thick, an unsupported size, or cannot load properly (top loader printers can be fussy).

or perhaps...

Paper surface might be slippery (stickers are notorious for being slippery) - Slippery paper might not pass through the printer easily.
