@Dulce17, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check for Error Messages or Alerts

  • Inspect the printer’s display for any error messages and refer to the user manual or HP’s online support for the specific error code.

Ensure Correct Cartridge Installation

  • Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges are correctly installed and compatible with your printer model.
  • If you are getting ink cartridge errors, follow the instructions here to check ink cartridge numbers and reset the printer.

Inspect Cartridge and Printhead Contacts

  • Carefully clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and printhead to remove any dust or residue that may be causing connectivity issues.

Run a Print Quality Diagnostic Report

  • Utilize the printer’s internal tools to run a print quality diagnostic report to identify poor print quality issues.

Align the Printer

  • Perform an automatic alignment of the printer heads. This can often be done through the printer’s settings or software.

Check Paper and Print Settings

  • Verify that the paper is loaded correctly and that the print settings match the type of paper being used.
  • Ensure that the correct paper size and type are selected in the printer settings.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can fix bugs and improve performance.

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on to reset the system.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
