Hi friends,
Have an OfficeJet 8710 - worked great on all cartridges; never a problem. All of the sudden and overnight. I get the dreaded "non-HP chip detected" message. Nothing has changed that I have done. The updates were turned off on the printer, yet it seems as though it performed one and now I'm locked out from using it.
I've seen all of this "remove one cart, unplug, replug, power on, another cart, then do the same thing. Nope.
What's the dealio HP? please advise,.

I'd like to help!
You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.
There are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why its not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.
