The printer is not printing cyan color.  I've run the printhead cleaning 10+ times Ive checked the air vent.  I've checked the cartridge warranty  Situation not improving.  What do I do next?

Apologies for the inconvenience. There was an issue with the new lot of HP 902 Cyan and Yellow ink cartridges and they were recalled. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and the Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge or to check its availability. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

 

Also, check if the printer/ink cartridges are eligible for a replacement. Refer to -  'Incompatible' or 'Defective Cartridge' message

I received a cyan 902 that was supposed to replace a bad one. The replacement had a date of 2022/09/28, T6186A, but ut has the same problem; that is, no proper cyan in prints. May I please get one that works?

More to this - there are no XL cartridges available anywhere... and certain colors only seem to be found here and there in the small capacity 'economy' size. If the printer doesn't work on anything other than "genuine HP Ink" what are we supposed to do with our printers?? Mine is not very old and I shouldn't have to replace it just because you've stopped supplying ink. Additionally, since the most recent update, I have to repeatedly restart my computer to get the printer to work. It will spool the job, but won't print until I restart my computer, then the print job starts printing. What's that about?

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns

 

You could try contacting HP Support in your region for replacement cartridges

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

 

As for the printer not printing unless you restart the same I suggest you try assigning a manual IP Address

 

1) Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
2) Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
3) Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
4) Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
5) Click Manual IP
6) If you see a Suggest a Manual IP Address button, click Manual IP address, and the Manual IP addresses are automatically filled out for you.
7) If your page does not have a button to suggest a manual IP address, type the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway using the numbers shown in the report you printed.

I have a similar issue about cyan color not printing. My cyan ink warranty ends 10/22/2022. Should I request a cyan cartridge change?
