HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer

This printer used to be enrolled in Instant Ink while ago, then cancelled and was not used for a while. I still have original inks that were used with this printer before Instant Ink, but printer refuses to use them:

If I remove the inks, error message changes, but still cannot get through.

I am willing to enroll back to Instant Ink, but to do that, I need to print Info Page to obtain claim code for registration. Second way is to get claim code from the printe'r screen - obviously none of these methods works.

Found solution. Took printer to electronic recycling drop-off and got another brand starting with Br ending with other.

Is there a way to dismiss the error message ?

Or reset printer to factory defaults without using the screen or web services ? I can connect to printer's webserver, and there is reset factory defaults, but it just says "Printer is busy".
