Hi @aLilHelpSVP74,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 62 80 15 on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 typically indicates an issue with the printer's printhead. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions blocking the printhead's movement. Open the printer cover and visually inspect the printhead path for any debris or foreign objects.
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a hard reset on the printer by disconnecting the power cord while the printer is still on. Wait for about a minute before plugging it back in. This can sometimes clear temporary errors.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website and download/install any available updates for your printer model.
  • Clean Printhead Contacts: Turn off the printer and remove the printhead. Clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and in the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water. Make sure the contacts are completely dry before reinstalling the printhead.
  • Replace Printhead: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's possible that the printhead itself is faulty or damaged.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
