I have an OFficeJet Pro 8715 printer.  I keep getting the error message that the PRINTHEAD APPEARS TO BE MISSING, NOT DETECTED OR INCORRECTLY INSTALLED.

 

I just installed all new cartridges, and performed a hard reset as suggested in response to fixing this problem.

 

Is there something wrong with the printer?  Should I replace it?

 

I've spent over $100 on cartridges and now they are useless if I have to junk the printer.

Also, is there a phone number for customer support where I can Speak to a Human?

Hi @Iworkhard,

  

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
