My printer firmware updated and now I can't use my printer. I'm using third party cartridges, which my printer will not recognize. Grrr!!! I refuse to buy the ridiculously expensive ink from HP, I'll buy a different brand printer first! I've tried several fixes for my issue online and none have worked. Can I get an installation disk for my printer anywhere? I can't find mine. I've downloaded from this site, but printer still won't print. I uninstalled everything. Reinstalled. Still, no good results. If I could just get past that firmware!!!

Hi @SakiBooboo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your printer cartridges. We always recommend using genuine HP ink cartridges.
I see that you have an issue using non-HP ink cartridges on your printer.
Please refer to the below links for more information related to your issue.

If you are using generic or Non HP ink cartridges the above links do not help. You will have to contact the generic ink cartridge manufacturer to assist you further with it or you will have to use genuine HP ink cartridges to resume printing.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
