Officejet Pro 8024

I have a printer, just over a year old, which is in daily use.

The cyan output has recently develop white streaks where the ink is not being output.

I have tried all the cleaning options from the printer and also the deeper cleaning options available within the web interface, but the problem persists.

The issue appears to be that part of the cyan output channel on the print-head is blocked, but the head is not able to be removed for cleaning.

Very disappointed that this is happening on a printer so young.

Hi,

Yes, the same happens when copying.

I've tried to do the head clean (many times) and print quality tests, but the issue remains - a thin white line on the magenta output.

I've tried a new cartridge but the issue remains. All other colours are fine.

I've also bought a head cleaning solution and flushed the head, but again the issue remains. It is better now, than it was, but still there.

Thanks for your input.

@ASDunne

This seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
