My OfficejetPro 8100 is showing a diagnostic light. The power light is on and the Cyan ink cartridge icon is blinking. The User Guide explains:
"One or more ink cartridges must be replaced to resume printing. Get new ink cartridges and replace the existing cartridges when prompted to do so."
I purchased a new ink cartridge and installed it, but the indicator light is still blinking.
Following the troubleshooting steps suggested in other posts on this site:
I have tried removing and re-inserting it multiple times. I have tried powering off the printer, waiting, then powering it back on.
I even went and purchased a SECOND new ink cartridge, suspecting the first one was defective. This did not fix the problem.
I tried removing the printhead carriage and cleaning the printhead. The problem remains.
I've run out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to troubleshoot this problem?
