HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My colour photo printing has streaks/scratches at the very end of the print (see picture). I have done everything from cleaning the print head to alignment to uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but nothing works. Do you have any idea how to fix it? At this time, I am considering getting another printer if I can trade this one in. It's an Officejet 8015e. It started out good, but it didn't last. If I replace it, anyone have any recommendation?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating that the streaks or scratches are persisting even after you’ve tried all the common troubleshooting steps! Since you've already done the cleaning and alignment, the issue could be related to several other factors.
Here are a few suggestions to help resolve the issue:

Check Ink Levels and Cartridges

Sometimes, low ink or a problematic ink cartridge can cause streaks or scratches. Make sure all ink cartridges are properly installed, and there are no air bubbles or blockages in the ink lines. Consider replacing the cartridge if it’s near empty or looks damaged.

Check Paper Type and Quality

Ensure you're using the right type of paper for photo printing. If you're using glossy or photo paper, ensure that it’s compatible with your printer. Poor paper quality or non-recommended paper can cause printing defects like streaks and scratches.

Run Deep Cleaning or Print Head Cleaning

Since you've already tried cleaning, make sure you've done a deep cleaning for the printhead. Sometimes the basic cleaning doesn’t clear up deeper clogs. You can usually access this through the printer's control panel or HP Smart app.

Clean the Printer Rollers

Dirt or debris on the rollers can cause scratches or marks during printing, particularly at the end of the page. Clean the rollers using a soft lint-free cloth and some distilled water. Be careful not to use too much moisture.

Check for Firmware Updates

Sometimes a firmware update can resolve issues with print quality. Make sure your printer firmware is up to date through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.

If none of the above works, We suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
