Hi @Tshang,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 is not recognizing a new cartridge and displaying a supply system error, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Cartridge Compatibility:
- Ensure the cartridge you installed is compatible with the OfficeJet Pro 8210. Double-check the cartridge number against the printer specifications.
Reinstall the Cartridge:
- Open the printer cover and remove the cartridge.
- Check for any protective tape or plastic that may still be on the cartridge. Make sure to remove any protective seals.
- Reinsert the cartridge firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it's seated properly in the cartridge slot.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Check if the error message persists.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this via the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
- If you have the HP Smart app installed, it will notify you if any updates are available.
Perform a Printer Reset:
- On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults. This can sometimes resolve supply issues.
Inspect the Carriage:
- Check for any obstructions in the cartridge carriage that could prevent it from recognizing the cartridge. Make sure there are no jammed paper pieces or debris.
Test with Another Cartridge:
- If possible, test the printer with a different new cartridge. This will help determine if the issue is with the cartridge itself or the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
