Recently, I am getting a 2-3mm offset at the top of the page. When printing labels and double sized pages every print is essentially a wasted print - which costs me paper and with the subscription toner a "page" too.
I have updated everything including firmware, run the diagnostics, and done the alignment test (which is not the same as offset - so not helpful) and found no solution.
This issue is making a mostly functional printer useless for me.
I need help finding what should be a minor adjustment.

Hi @plethora,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding print offset issues on the HP ENVY Photo 6255!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Page Settings:
- Ensure that the document settings (such as margins, paper size, and orientation) in your software application match those set in the printer preferences.
Adjust Printer Software Settings:
- Go to your printer's properties in the Windows Control Panel. Under the “Layout” or “Paper/Quality” tab, ensure that the page layout settings match your document settings.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can automatically diagnose and resolve printing issues without manual intervention.
Check and Clean the Rollers:
- Paper misfeeding might also cause alignment issues. Gently clean the paper feed rollers inside the printer to ensure they are free from debris or dust.
Try Different Paper:
- Sometimes the type or weight of the paper can influence how it's fed through the printer. Test with a different paper type to see if the problem persists.
Calibrate the Printer:
- Although you've aligned the print heads, perform a manual calibration and alignment through the device's settings to see if there is any change.
Reset the Printer:
- Power down the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in. Sometimes a reset can resolve minor glitches.
Reinstall the Printer Driver:
- Uninstall your current printer driver, and then reinstall it by downloading the latest driver from the HP Support website.
I hope this helps.
