Hello. I replaced my old Instant Ink Officejet 6958 Printer with another Instant Ink Officejet 6958 Printer. The replacement printer is connected to my HP Instant Ink account, and the old printer was removed. Now, I took the used Instant Ink cartridges (which still have ink in them) and placed them into the replacement Instant Ink printer, but the replacement printer will not accept my used cartridges saying that the cartridges cannot be used if installed on another printer. Is there any way to use my Instant Ink Cartridges that still have ink in them? I don't want to throw them away because I paid for these Instant Ink Cartridges, and the replacement printer is the exact same model as the old printer. Thank you.

Hi @PrintingAintEZ

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I am afraid not. The current instant ink cartridges that you have, may not work for your new printer. You may have to add this printer to your instant ink account and the new ink cartridges will be shipped accordingly.

You may return the unused ink cartridges to HP.

Hope this helps.
