I replaced my Black 952XL cartridge with an HP official cartridge 2 pack, purchased from Costco.  

 

Upon installation, the Older Generation Cartridge alert appeared. 

2nd cartridge, same package, works.

 

The cartridge 2-pack warranty ends date is Sep 2022. 

The first cartridge itself says the warranty ends 2020/05.

The second cartridge warranty ends 2020/10.

 

Called HP support and cannot get through the prompts or chat bots to answer a real person question.

 

Doesn't this seem to be fraudulent, to sell a product with different warranty dates, and have one from a package that does not work any longer and one that does?  It is against trade and consumer statutes to sell something that I invest money in with confidence, as an OEM consumable, and it is not honored by HP.

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer ink cartridges.

 

Kindly refer to the steps from this link to troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.
