macOS 12.0 Monterey

Same story as everyone else. Pulled out a sealed package of HP ink. Printer recognizes it as a genuine cartridge but is now saying that its an older generation and will not function. No where on the packaging is there a must use by date and nowhere in the ops manual is there a caveat date.

 

How does  one fix this issue  without discarding hundreds of dollars of ink cartridges.
