Ok, I literally unboxed my new Envy, set it up, printed a test page with lots of color to see if it would do what I needed...and consistent lines through the image, about 1 inch apart. I aligned the cartridges, and did all 3 levels of cleaning and still, consistent lines. It seems ok with some lighter colors, and color that has space between (if that makes sense), but when I have any solid colors, it prints a line or partial line.
Now, I literally just went through this with a brand new Officejet 8020e, which the tech said was the printer, sent me another, same issue...so I sent them back and took a chance on the Envy. I thought that buying new and spending what I did would avoid the issue that my old, far less expensive deskjet started doing recently.
I am beyond frustrated, disappointed, and ready to return this printer and give up on HP if I can't find a printer that can handle printing solid colors on occasion.
If anyone has any ideas about how to fix this issue, I'm all ears. I haven't found it yet, despite spending hours on finding a solution.
