The Cyan color does not print.  I have cleaned the heads X3 and still there is not color.   Can the Print heads be removed?

Hi @Minilops,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

For your HP Smart Tank 7301 printer issue, it sounds like you've tried several head cleaning cycles without success. For this model, whether the printheads can be removed and cleaned manually or replaced entirely depends on the specific design of the printer.

Here are the steps you can follow to try to resolve the issue with the cyan color not printing:

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the cyan ink tank is filled properly. Sometimes, even if it seems like there is ink, the levels might not be sufficient for printing.

Printhead Cleaning: You've already performed this step several times. However, ensure you're following the specific steps recommended by HP for your model, which typically includes using the printer's built-in tool accessed through the printer menu or software on your computer.

Printhead Alignment: If the printer allows, try performing a printhead alignment. This can sometimes resolve issues if the problem is related to misalignment rather than clogging.

Manual Cleaning: If the printer design allows, removing the printhead for manual cleaning might be possible. For many HP printers, the printheads can be carefully removed. Refer to the printer's manual for specific instructions on how to do this. Be cautious, as improper handling can damage the printhead.

Replace the Printhead: If none of the above steps work, the printhead might be faulty and require replacement. This can sometimes happen if the printer is used infrequently, causing the ink to dry and permanently clog the nozzles.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I was able to remove the printer head successfully, but  when I returned to my computer to clean it again, I opened the app, it connected to the printer   I opened printer setting, then when I tried to open the advanced settings I get the message "Can't open printer home or EWS page

Thank you
