I have a HP Smart Tank 7001. Cyan was not showing up on my printed pages. I filled all the tanks and it is still now printing CYAN. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi @JCB64,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding cyan ink issues on the HP Smart Tank 7001!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Ink Levels and Flow:
- Ensure that the cyan ink tank is correctly filled and seated. Inspect the ink nozzles and ensure there are no air bubbles or blockages in the ink lines that may be preventing cyan ink from reaching the print head.
Print Head Cleaning:
- Perform a print head cleaning procedure using the printer's maintenance tools. This can often resolve issues like dried ink or minor blockages.
- Navigate to the printer’s menu and select the cleaning function.
- Follow the prompts to clean the print heads thoroughly.
Perform a Print Head Alignment:
- After cleaning, perform a print head alignment. This ensures that all the inks are evenly distributed and correctly configured for the print process.
Inspect the Print Heads:
- Remove the print head for cyan and inspect it for any clogs. Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water to carefully clean around the nozzles if needed.
Firmware Update:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer that might address software issues impacting print quality. The latest firmware can be downloaded from the HP Support website.
Use HP Diagnostic Tools:
- Run diagnostic tests using tools like HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can help identify issues with ink or print heads.
Additional Checks
Reset the Printer:
- Occasionally, performing a factory reset can clear any settings-related bugs that might be affecting operations. Make sure to back up important settings before proceeding.
Examine Physical Connections:
- Ensure there aren't any loose or improperly connected parts in the ink delivery system. The printhead flex cables should be connected securely.
