Hi @Pamadie30
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
To fix the "One or more cartridges appear to be damaged" error on your HP Officejet Pro 8625, follow these steps:
1. Power Off & Unplug the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for about 30 seconds to reset the internal components.
2. Remove the Cartridges
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Carefully remove the ink cartridges from their slots.
3. Inspect & Clean the Cartridges
- Check for visible damage or leaks on the cartridges.
- Clean the cartridge contacts (the metal contacts on the cartridge) and the printer's contact points with a soft, lint-free cloth.
4. Reinstall the Cartridges
- Reinstall the cartridges securely, ensuring they click into place.
5. Power On the Printer
- Close the cartridge access door, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.
- Check if the error message disappears.
6. Replace Damaged Cartridges
- If the error persists, replace the damaged cartridge with a new one.
If the issue continues, you may need to update your printer’s firmware or use genuine HP ink cartridges. click here for printer firmware
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
