Hi @Gillyb2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check the Print Settings

Open the photo in Preview or your preferred app.

Go to File > Print.

Click “Show Details” (bottom of the print window).

Make sure the paper size and scaling (fit to page or actual size) are set correctly.

Uncheck options like borderless if the photo gets clipped.

Reset the Printing System (this often works wonders)

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

Right-click (or Ctrl+click) in the printer list.

Choose “Reset printing system…”.

Add your HP printer again and try printing.

Reinstall the HP Printer Driver

Go to: HP Software & Driver Downloads

Search for HP Smart Tank 7005 and select macOS 12 Monterey.

Download and install the latest HP Easy Start utility.

Follow the instructions to completely reinstall the driver and printer.

Try Printing from a Different App

If you're using Photos or Safari, try printing the same image from Preview or Adobe Reader to see if it prints fully.

Update macOS & HP Smart App

Make sure macOS is updated to the latest 12.x release.

If using the HP Smart App, update or reinstall it from the Mac App Store.

I hope this helps.
