My DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer worked fine for about 2 years. I recently moved and relocated the printer to a new network, and now I'm receiving "Use SETUP Cartridges" message. I do not have SETUP Cartridges. Please advise to override this error.

Hi @Ctayloring,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Use SETUP Cartridges" message typically appears when the printer is expecting the setup cartridges that were originally included with the printer during its initial setup. These cartridges are used for the printer's initialization process and are not meant for regular printing. If you no longer have the setup cartridges or if they are depleted, you may encounter this error.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue.
- Check Cartridges: Ensure that you have the regular ink cartridges installed correctly in the printer. Make sure they are properly seated and securely installed. If you are using third-party cartridges, try installing genuine HP cartridges to see if the issue persists.
- Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer and clear the error message.
- Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates may address various issues, including error messages. Visit the HP website, locate your printer model, and download the latest firmware update if available. Follow the instructions provided by HP for updating the firmware.
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can try performing a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings on the printer, and you may need to set it up again on your new network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
